Predictably Euro '08 has been a real snoozer. Partly because it's still early in the competition and the squad's have not had enough practice time together, but also because, let's face it, the european national teams are severely lacking in quality. Particularly in the mid-field and forward area. Thta will lead to teams compensating for lack of offensive skill playing an excessively defensive scheme, often times with a single stricker. Which means that teams that do have strong midfields or forwards, will have very little space in which to operate. And that will lead to some ugly football.

It will also mean that a team like Greece could win it all once again with a series of lucky 1x0 victories. I hope not, but it could very well happen.

Anyhow, my predictions for the final are Germany and Sweden (as long as old man Larsson can stay fit and keep up throughout the month and help Ibrahimovic get back on form).

Either way I just hope Italy doesn't win it. I can't stand the way they play.
