Today, the US Ultimate Club championship started in Sarasota, FL. And right from the get go Atlanta teams are seriously kicking but. In the mixed co-ed division Rival went 3-0 in pool play upsetting the number one seed in the tournament with a come from behind win. In the open division (men's for those not familiar with ultimate) Chain Lightning also went 3-0. What makes their record so impressive is that they were the fourth seed in their pool. Even though the Canadian team Furious George was missing a lot of their key players it's still a big accomplishment. Lastly, the women's team Ozone held on to their second seed position in their pool by going 2-1.

Tomorrow promises to be another interesting day with the pool crossover games to determine who will move on to the championship bracket on Saturday. Although the Atlanta teams will have their work cut out for them as the weather channel is predicting thunder storms with quite a bit of wind.
