Yes, it's finally happening. The ring has been given, the question has been popped on bended knee, the families have met, and the date has been set for August 31, 2007. The lucky lady's name is Shendra, she's from the buckeye state, and the wedding will be an outdoor one in her parent's back yard, which is pretty big or so I hear... So now I have to start making plans or at least taking the wedding into accout when I make plans for late summer 2007.

As the best man in my brother's wedding, I'm anticipating that I'll have plenty to prepare before hand. I'm sure I'll be involved in the rehersals, I'll have to get a new suit made (no tux for me), I'll have to plan the batchelor party (which shouldn't be too much of a problem since my brother doesn't really party all that much), and I'll have to make a speech at the reception ceremony.

I wonder if I can ge away with not getting them a present and claim that my partiipation in the wedding is my gift?
